compaq partition

i got here a new PC, Compaq EVO D310 and i want to partition the drive into three.. i tried Partition magic 7 but laways have this error.. error 1651!

my last option was to reinstall the entire OS but im afraid the restore CD that comes with it only allows one partition.

how can i partion this thing using the original software?

Found by accident that if you restore the PC from the Restore Disks, you don't get error 1651 when you use Partition Magic. Found this as I screwed up a new machine by killing power during a SP1 update!

Must be a problem with the initial programs Compaq put on the disk which are supposed to make installation easier!!
