Default Comp wont boot

hey guys,
earlier this year i bought and put together a new pc. here are the specs:

2500+ barton AMD
512 Kingstom Ram
NF-7S 2.0 mobo
samsung 80 gb
antec 350 psu
radeon 9600

The computer ran fine for a couple of months, but then at the start of may the computer started shutting off randomly, forcing me to unplug and replug the power cable in order to get it to start again. Soon the condition got worse, and the computer would shut off just seconds after i pressed the power button.

I removed all of the components (without taking the mobo out of the case) and reseated them. now, the power would go on, but the fans would spin and nothing would post. I know from other sources that something is wrong with either the mobo, memory or psu.

I then took the mobo out and basically rebuilt the entire computer, but the same non-posting problem occured. Over the last couple of months i have systematically tried new PSU's, memory, hardrives, and video cards, but to no avail. Reset the CMOS too. Is there anything more i can do?

I am considering rma'ing the motherboard, but i have 2 problems with this; one, the compute rran fine for a few months and i didnt do anything to the mobo that might risk its wellbeing, and two, i have no idea how to get the heatsink fan off . Anyone know how to make removing the heatsink/fan easier?
