Default Comp keeps freezing and making very odd noises

Iv'e rarly had tis problem with any other programs. Very rarly it will freeze and make screeching sounds in desktop but it mostly happens in Unreal 2004 and Unreal II.

Does anyone know what might be the problem? Again, it freezes and makes screeching noises.

Thanks

It comes through my speakers as a sound like a screeching static noise. Mostly for the Unreal Series of games but a little bit of other games too.
I'm thinking it might be a video card related issue but I'm not sure. I've tried installing differant Drivers for the card and opened up the PC and made sure every thing was put in snugly.

Still any idea's?
