Default Clock resets

Ok now this is getting frustrating, I have reset the time on my parents HP desktop clock (time) 4 times in less than a week. For some reason it wont keep time, it keeps reseting. WHats the deal?

Sounds like the CMOS battery may be dying.

Just a guess.

Is there any other signs of this, because their PC has been acting up lately

well it may result in odd messages during boot but it shouldn't really mess with things too much aside from settings stored in CMOS that may have been lost e.g. USB ports may have been disabled. i agree, it sounds like a dead CMOS battery.
