cleaning scratched discs

what do you guys use to clean scratched discs?

ive heard/read different things that people have used like tooth paste, acetone, paint thinner, bleach, vaseline, loogies, and just a bunch of other random ****.

i tried tooth paste a couple times, and it worked once but i think it was just coincidence because it didnt work any other time.

It all depends on how deep the scratch is. Tooth Paste works more for surface scratches. but you need tooth paste that has a bit of abrasiveness to it. For those disks that have really deep scratches there isnt much that can be done. As they pretty much destroy the data.
