I use a soft cloth and put a little water on it... works fine

You don't actually need much. The antistatic wipes are dry while their purpose is to eliminate static which draws dust to start with. Any monitor, tv as well as other electronic devices and hardwares are still going to draw dust while that's one way to help cut down on the static as well as wiping the dust away.
