Is a new hard drive, or brand new hard drive required for installation for a new mother board, processor, and ram? I would think it would be cause the old bios from the old MB would still be stored on the harddrive, and whatnot. I need to know because im upgrading to new hardware, MB,PROCESSOR,and RAM, and i would like to use my old hard drive. Is it required to have a clean hard drive for new components? I need to know ASAP please. Also is Dynex thermal compound any good or is it crap?

Thanks

Yeah, I have been able to run a repair in xp setup before in a situation like this but I agree w/ ohGrFreak..run the xp setup, delete partitions, recreate partitions, format and install anew...

Alright ill try that. Also is Dynex thermal compound any good? I looked on ArcticSilvers Website and they said it was fraudulent. Is Dynex Thermal Compound a joke?
