toshiba = best laptop manufacturer IMO.

you haven't researched laptops much have you? toshiba makes some of the most (after sony) overpriced laptops with the crappiest components. the only good part is the screen, which many other manufactors have already implemented in their designs. if you want a pc laptop i highly recomend sager (www.pctorque.com) or dell, their desktops suck but they make fairly nice laptops.

otherwise i highly recomend os x, nothing matches it in simplicity, ease of use, and stability. the best part about it is (imo), is how integrated everything is. everything works together. you can take music from itunes and pics from iphoto and use them in imovie. very very very nice imo.

yea um ive had other laptops and id have to say sony took the cake
i had a dell 9100 and didnt like it too much too big /too noisy
i also had an alienware 51m 5500 and that too i wasnt really impressed
but im in love with this sony the design the weight the amazing package in such a great size. i havent had any problems with it yet
and with sony i could control the speed of the fan and how noisy it got
toshiba and sony make awesome laptops
as for apple....eh
