Guys, can someone recommend me a nice gaming laptop which is cheapest as possible, reliable brand, and has efficient power (longest possible battery life). Kindly post the pic specs and price please...Tnx..

cheap cheap..well u can go for an hp they go for around 1400 for amd with i think a 6600 geforce..canadian dunno bout american if u american

The last one is for a Inspiron E1705 with a 7900gs, which is very good for a laptop and its only like $1250 shipped, openbox though. For a Dell I read some really good reviews on its power.

Also, ibuypower.com has cheap laptops with good graphics cards, I dont know about the quality though.

Maybe I do not need a dual core that much...Well unless if I could get the cheapest dualie notebook that fits my budget...

I do not know what is my budget because my mom will be the one to buy me a laptop.. Thats why Im searching for the cheapest yet reliable and durable notebook...I do not want the cheapest that will fail me eventually.

By the way, she lives and Japan and most of the laptops there are have japanese characters on the keyboard. Is it possible that she can buy a laptop (full English) here? Or it will depend on the store policies?

And is Pentium M good? How bout the Centrino Duo? And does AMD Turion powered notebooks also good?

Aside from ASUS and DELL, what other brands available that are cheap yet worth buying? Fujitsu? Sony?etc...

Purpose of buying laptop:

1. For visual presentations on thesis and defense, instead of bringing my whole desktop system, I could bring a laptop instead.

2. Wireless surfing

3. 2nd computer in our house...Ill make a LAN connection to my laptop and share internet connection.

4. Moderate gaming (maybe this will not be used so much since I have my desktop)

I hope this helps you out here is a few I found. I highly recommend you get a pentium M labtop or a AMD turion as badly as I hate AMD they are reliable moblile processor that can last for a very good while.

i configured a dell notebook with a core 2 duo. and it was 766$ with core 2 duo, 512 ram, 60gb hdd, and a dvd burner, and 15.4 screen. but it had integrated graphics, not the best for gaming IMHO. you can upgrade the videocard and it should only cost a little more.
