Chassis Fan not reading.

Asus K8v Se Deluxe motherboard
Generic 120mm fan plugged into the mobo
Asus probe

Probe won't read the chassis fan's RPM, it just says 0 and warns me something is wrong if i check it to read that fan. It used to work, along with the PSU fan one used to work. I have reinstalled Probe and flashed with the latest BIOS. I'm outta ideas.

i have no experience with what ur talking about. but im wondering how does the probe read the fans rpm's? is there another terminal that the fan was built with that u hook the probe upto?

Probe is the name of the software, it reads the fan through the 3 pin plug on the MOBO itself, it reads the PSU only if the PSU has a special 3 pin plug that just sends RPMs, i think its a black wire that tells speed.
