Ok, on my forum one of the members asked "I just got 2 new sticks of kingston ddr400 C2.5, can I keep the old one also or do I have to get rid of it?"
Since the old stick is kingstong ddr400 C3, I said ya just put the two new sticks into the ddr slots and put the old stick in the single slot.
my mod says:
"Only issue I can see is the different clock cycles, may get read errors. try it and if it starts acting funny, take the original one out. if the prob goes away, then choose which set you want to stay with."
I disagree with him, what do ya'll think? I said maybe it would if you were changing out different brands and timings, or using a brand that the mobo isn't exactly compatible with.. In that case you'd get more than a "read" error.. Anyways, since it's using the C3 in the single slot and not along side of another DDR stick, I think it'll be fine..
