Centrino or P4 cpus for a laptop.

Im looking around at some laptops, and for my pricerange, i can either get a pentium m centrino 745 @ 1.5ghz or a pentium 4 538 @ 3.2 ht.

how do these stack up in performance, mainly multitasking and some interemediate gaming? the rest of the specs would be the same.

Get the Pentium M. It will have a much longer batter life and perform just as good as the P4.

Also look at AMD's. The P4 equivalents use less energy.

But AMDs are better.
