Hello. The device driver for my phone has automatically downloaded to my computer.

What program do I go to to access the media on my phone?

Windows Explorer, normally. Once the driver is installed you should be able to connect your phone to your computer via USB cable and the computer should see it as an additional drive.

Hello. I use windows 8.1. How do you find the 'icon' or access windows explorer?
Also, I am not sure the 'driver' has been downloaded. 'Some software' loads..then everything disappears? Sorry about the vagueness of this statement. Still looking for info though.

Open up Computer/My Computer and see if it lists the phone as a drive. You may have to go and find the drivers for it, like Motorola has Motorola Device Manager which is the driver package for their phones.
