In one word .. NO...
There are both architectural n' funtional differences brtween both processors.

This is reminding me of my first employeer who was telling every one that there is such things as INTEL PENTIUM CELERON CPUs.

It used to BS the end users, and annoy the I.T. Pros.

He used to tell me off for not calling Celeron as Intel Pentium Celeron Processors. My reply always used to be "Excuse me for not BSing or Coffusing the customer"

Celeron's are your cheaper intel chip.
Lesser or No Cache.
No math co-processor
Slower FSB.

But my view is at the end of the day is that it's (eg. Celeron 2400) a 2400 Mhz CPU. So if you want a office machine, it will do more that what you need.

Intel Pentium Celeron Processors....that's amazing, your ex-boss should have won some kind of award for that
