Default CD Writer not reading CDs

My SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-208F CD writer does not read CDs that it has burnt earlier. Apart from that it denies identifying any R/W CDs. It is able to read some of the unbranded R-CDs. Not even SAMSUNG CDs are readable!!

Please help.

can it still burn. And can it read the cds that it has just burned. I read an article a while back that was saying that some media did not hold the data that it wrote to cd less than year after it was burned. Also will these discs read in another cd rom. If they will read in a few others but not yours. The drive may be bad or need cleaning. If you clean it do not use compressed air. you will need to get a cd cleaing kit. Like $12 from radio shack.

i am no lazier now than I was forty years ago, but that is because I reached the limit forty years ago. You can\'t go beyond possibility.
