Cd Rom Question

When i change my old broken cd rom for a new one from another computer do i need any drivers or cds for it or will it work automaticly at boot up? Thank You -Van

Ah yes i just got myself xp home sp1 and works a little slower then the 2000nt but i like it more. Thank you for the info chip
