Default Cd Rom

I was wondering if anyone knows how i can fix the cd rom... my pc isn't messed up just the cd rom doesn't open. Help?

The cd-rom won't open your files on your cd, or your cd-rom will physically not open/eject?

I think he's saying it physically won't open. If that's the case...are you sure it's even working...I mean do you see atleast the light blinking like it's trying to open the door but it's stuck? Have you checked all power connections? My dads CD-Rom in his laptop sticks and he has to use a knife to get it out lol. Other than that, you might just want to look into getting a newer CD-Rom unless that one IS indeed fairly new

stick a paper clip into that little hole to open it manually if you need your cd at least.. but do what nubius said

a improperly seated IDE can SOMETIMES cause this.
