What are three common standards CD drives use to interface with a system?

All CD drives that I've seen use IDE aka ATA. Another name for them is PATA. Theres also E-IDE.

they also make SATA cd drives (or DVD....something) but, they are expensive and few

E-IDE, USB, SATA, SCSI, in that order.
