CD drive will not open

Hello
I was wondering if anyone could help,

I just put a CD-R into my CD drive but as it was closing the disc was not in properly , the dirve woiuld not open with the button so i pried it open witha knife and got the CD-R out

But now the button does not open or close the drive and it does not read anything inside the drive

CAn anyone help

id say your prying has something to the drive..... did you try and use the little pin-hole button ejecting-thingy first?

Also, ive had my drive stop working once, but a quick restart fixed that problem.

lol u pry it open with a knife and then u restart man shoulda been the other way around lol dont go straight to the knife
