Case Vibration

I get some really noisey case vibration and i cant tell where its coming from, i have put these dampners/silicone covers on the fans and round the screws on the psu, but i'm still getting it.

Might be the power supply or one of the case panels are not snug enough.

Try placing a heavy object on top of the case.

i have placed a heavy object on the case for now, but i dont wanna do that forever

HDD or cdrom? try filling it with foam peanuts.

If a heavy object stops it I'd guess that it's a loose rivit somewhere holding the case together. fans are generally screwed in place, so weight on the case should have no effect on that. But a loose rivit could be silenced if the piece of the case was pusing down on it.

If anyone has a sound file of this type of problem..please post it here. I've been building PC's for some time..and have never heard/had an issue like this. If your getting vibrations..and that heavy object stops it....I would look to the case fans as a possiable cause.

I have seen a few times. Normally if I tighten a few screws or clean out a few fans, i am all right.
