Can you run two instances of raid at the same time?

I've got an ASUS P5QL Pro motherboard and four hard drives. 2x500 + 2x250.

The 250s are for network storage for the other computers in the household.
The 500s are... well... for me.

Is it possible I can run two instances of raid at once? Making the 500s mirrored and the 250s mirrored?

Sure. The limits are held within the controllers.

Well hot **** I should look into this. Might be a better idea than running scripts every time I need stuff to backup!
