Well...in a short answer...no.

These are workstation cards. You could play games on them...but the performance boost would not be what you'd expect.

These cards are designed for doing other aspects of video rendering, especially pertaining to CAD work, modeling, still-frame rendering, etc.

Will you be able to play DOOM3 with this? Yes. (Assuming you have a machine up-to-spec enough to run this card at full capability.) Will this card whomp your 6800ultra? No.

To companies that heavily depend on the use of the programs that this card is intended for that price is nothing. It's not intended for us to buy

first of all, 1150 for a video card!?! it would be easier to buy an ATI or NVidia card for less than 400 if it were for games which you said it is so buy one of them
