Can I run my Athlon 3200+ XP on 266 FSB?

Can I install my new Barton Athlon 3200+XP on my DFI AK-75 M/B and run it at 266FSB? Can you do that, will it run til I get my new M/B in the mail?

you can , but that is a really bad idea. you will have to underclock the FSB and multiplier. you will need to run it slower than its intended speed also because your FSB cannot push enough bandwidth through it to sustain the correct speed. its better to wait.

I don't like that idea of running the CPU at a slower speed. Best to wait.
