Default can i put this cpu in a diff computer ?

my mom has a gateway 550 mhz computer, and i have a 1100 celeron processor in my computer that ceased to function.

will these swap over ? will it make my mom's gateway run faster ? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can almost say without a doubt that it wont fit... Let us know what motherboards they are and if the 550 mhz is a celeron or what.
