Default can i do anything cool w/ DVI?

my vid card has DVI. my monitor's just vga and plugged into that port. is there anything cool i am missing out on by not using DVI? what is it for?

DVI or Digital Visual Interface is used to connect a Digital LCD monitor or a DLP Projector to your PC. If you don't have either, then this connecter will go unused.

It supposedly provides better video quality then both S-Video and VGA.

All looks the same to me.

YOu can use them on Plasma TV's.

or use a DVI to VGA converter to use a monitor which does not have the DVI Interface

Yeah, I havn't even seen a monitor with a DVI interface.

this old Dell LCD monitor I have has DVI and VGA lol, there are many out there, though low-end ones are less likely to have both.
