Hi I just bought a TI-36x calculator and the manual doesn't help much. I'm looking for a way to type in easy equations like:
X+3=8
or
y=3x-5

I'm not looking for the answer. That is easy. I'm just looking for the method of inputing it into my calculator. Thanks.

what do you want to input the equations for?

I looked in the manual, and I don't think you can put equations into this type of calculator. I can with my Ti-84 though.

to input variables you hit the [X,T, Theta, n,] button on the calculator

and if you are using y=mx+b form stuff like you indicated, your entering that into the y= part of your calculator. that button for the y= can be found at the top left.
