Default Cable input to computer

Does anyone know on this forum, of anyway to connect a cable input into a video card or something in the computer? I know that it is possible, just don't know what a name for what that would be called. If you do know, could you please tell me or if you know if it is just a simple adapter or a whole new video card or something.

Thanks,

Ryan.

You are going to need to buy ether a tv tuner card or a video card that has CATV-in like the ATI all-in-wonders. here is a link to some of them http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...price&sort=asc

Ryan what are you wanting to do? do you want to connect a computer monitor to the video card or are you trying to record from a VCR? wanting to "connect a cable input into a video card or something in the computer" can mean anything.

take a look at the WinTV PVR-350 (don't know how to do links here) but you can find it at http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_350.html. You can also see what else they have there. It's really cool!

Then you need to buy a PCI TV tuner card.
