Default Buying a TV

Hey fellas my friend wants to buy a good TV that is over 50 inches and future proof. What should he get? Also is Ebay a safe place to get them because I hear you get some sweet deals there, thanx

Any retail store such as Best Buy or Circuit City will have excellent deals on TV's, just wait for a sale, and don't buy Plasma. The light will burn out in 60,000 hours/4 years. That's another $400 to replace.

Ugh, yeah. We almost got one, before I found about the burn out.
