Default Business/ID card scanners...?

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I've got a quick question. I'm working for a non-profit that now needs to scan ID's of their clients, Driver's licences etc. We could really use something small as we have very little desk space.
Would a business card scanner work? Or are ID's to large to go through them? Does anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks for your help...

For the money, its not worth it

Just buy an all-in-one PSC (printer, scanner, copier)

Listing of small business card scanners:

IDSCAN is a good solution but its a software/hardware solution and does things on-the-fly so you can fast results.....

You can get a magstripe scanner that can log data, but sometimes data is uneven, meaning, you may get an id thats foreign and you may have to reverse engineer the bitstream in the dark, so scanning is a better solution.
