Burner thinks its a zip drive

My burner under Win2K thinks it a Zip Drive. It displays it as a zip drive till i put a CD in then it says its a burner. But if i put a blank in the burner, it still thinks its a Zip drive.

I have re-installed the drivers. I have a zip drive, but its on another IDE channel. (that thinks its a zip drive)

Any Ideas?

- Primary
~Master - HDD
~Slave - Zip Drive
- Secondary
~Master - Burner
~Slave - CD Rom

So I the CD Rom is saying its a Zip Drive and when I put a Cd into the drive, it says its its a CD Rom. if i switch it so the burner and CD ROm is the other way round - the burner is the zip drive. I have done windows updates. I have removed the Zip drive, replaced the IDE cable. Thinking of doing a re-install.

yup, i think the dude has a bootleg OS, so im gonna tell him to get me a legit 2K cd or F-Off.
