Burn data on DVD-R?

Is there a way to burn a file or folder onto a DVD-R? Similar to windows xp, where you drag files onto your CD-RW drive and burn. Is this possible with a DVD format?

your using the xp burner software.

don't think it does dvds.

i would stick with nero. way better program and it will do what you want.

well what i'm trying to do exactly is put videos on a DVD as data, not as video. since theres 4.7GB on a DVD.

yea no problem.

use set the disc up as a data disc and drop it in there.

that's all.

i think u can download packages that allow u to drag and drop burn a dvd. i think i got the software bundled with my nero. but bero is great
