Building new PC

Hello guys... I am new to the forum here and was hoping you guys could help me out. I'm looking to build a pc for the new game coming out EQ2. I'm sure most of you are familiar with the game. I am going to have about $900 to spend on this. I need to get the full tower and a monitor at least 17" (I'm trading my dad the 17" for his 21" so quality doesn't matter much, its just gonna be for browsin the web). I want to have at least 3.0ghz processor and 1gig of ram. Any help is greatly appreciated.

anyway... building a PC is not "hard", but putting the right pieces is the trick. Then pricing them out on the web, takes time.

A good idea would be to look at various member's "sig" as they list hardware that makes up their system. Its good to get ideas on what to buy.

Get these basic specs: Asus K8V Deluxe mobo, Athlon 64 3200+, Radeon 9800 Pro, 1GB Corsair RAM. These basic specs in addition to a good case, HDD, etc will make for an excelent upper-mid range gaming system.

but, if u want it to b upgradeable, you should go with a socket 939 system.
