Default building a computer...help wanted

so this is what my buddy suggested...(i have monitor ... cd drives , etc..)

You need a power supply

That's a good setup, but the 9800pro is an aging poor peformance card. Replace it with a 6600GT for the same amount of money.

Also, you can get PCI-E instead of AGP if you get a 6600GT, also the same price. My recomendation for a PCI-E is a DFI Lanparty Nforce 4 Ultra

Um, you may want to consider buying a Power Supply. That case doesn't come with one. Unless you already have one. I would recommend nothing less then 400watts.

Antec or ThermalTake.

i actually did have a power supply link but forgot to.... here it is

with these specs how smoothly would a game like bf2 run when it comes out?

nf4 boards are compatible with ati or nvidia

that computer you have there will run bf2 very smoothly IF you get a 6600gt (about $30-40 more than your videocard)

6600 gt huh??? is it a lot better than my card? if so then ill def do it.... i cant beleive all of it is so relatively cheap... im only paying like 750 total

you were exactly right... its only 30 dollars more.. ill go with that one bringing the grand total to only 766.... not too bad right?
