i get the stop code 0x0000007B

I just put together my pc, i upgraded the mother board and ram, and it will not let me get passed this error when xp tries to start up.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check out that sticky thread in the Windows forum.

Looks to me like you have a corrupt boot file. Since you have XP your best bet would be to repair the windows installation with a windows XP CD.

Probably from upgrading your motherboard, you can't upgrade your motherboard and still use the same hard drive as the drivers are different on the new motherboard. So windows starts to load the old drivers and you get this error because it is the wrong motherboard. According to the end user agreement from Microsoft a new motherboard is technically a new computer, which technically requires a new CD Key / installation of WIndows.
