Boot up not working
ok a well back i went to connect my friends computer up and it gave a error missing files NTLDR and i formated a floppy so it would fix it and his floppy drive wont boot up and auto read the floppy. His mobo is a KV7 series for a AMD XP 3000. My question is it wont work i cant boot up the windows its givin me this error and stuff. and i tried to fix it but it wont boot it still givin me this error so i would like to know i9f you can help me out. On my friends computer system.

Sounds like a boot file has been deleted or there is file coruption. What OS are you runnign?

NTLDR is the NT loader.You can try a repair from the windows install cd.

its a windows pro. but i just used it on a family members computer and it worked. So if i was to use the repair on the windows cd it mit fix it but what about the floppy drive. that thing does work and its band new. It reads but you like have to force it to read those.

if you can bring up the Recovery Console by booting the XP Cd, then with the floppy in hand, (with the NTDLR file on it) just copy it from the floppy to C:\
