Whenever I start my PC, about half the time it will shut down within 5 seconds, just before the screen posts.
Has anyone any idee what could cause this behaviour? I have a abit KT7 motherbord runnen a 2.4Ghz P4 with a 350Watt power supply

Also, sometimes though not that often, the boot continues normaly but just before I get to the winXP bootscreen, the screen goes blue (no BSoD) en just reboots.

After reboot, it sometimes also shuts down just like a cold boot

Can u list down your hardwares?
By the way, maybe your PSU not enough power.

My HW is:
motherbord: abit IC7
PSU: 350 Watt
Processor: P4 2.4Ghz
Video: Geforce 4 Ti
Mem: 512MB DDR (not sure right now, but does it matter)
DVD player
Plextor DVD+RW
120 GB SATA harddisk
40GB UDMA100
30GB UDMA100
Network card, soundblaster thingy, TV-card... nothing important i guess

By the way, once my PC gets booted, Iit does NOT crash, reboot or fails in any way. Does not sound like a power consumption problem

Voltages are:

CPU core volt 1.50
DDR volt 2.57
DDR VTT volt 1.28
AGP VDDQ volt 1.53
ATX +3.3V 3.24
ATX +5V 4.97
ATX +12V 11.85
Batt volt 3.28
Standby volt 4.96

Please anyone??? i'm realy stuck at this one. So strange it looks like a random power loss of connector of mem problem, but once the pc is up, it doesn't crash...
