I have decided to get an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum and a Sapphire Radeon X700 Pro. Don't bash me on the X700 Pro...I got it free from a friend who upgraded to an X800XT PE (crap card I should say for the buck at least). Is that ok? What ram should I get (512)?

Mmm, I just handled an MSI board with an nForce3 chipset a few days ago, one of the nicest boards I've ever used, I don't think it was SLI though.

You should start with 512 if you want to save some money, if you seem to be encountering some problems with performance you can easily add another stick later.

Mmm if your gonna OC like hell then yeah, but otherwise I would think you could buy a decent set of 2x512mb for almost the same?
