Blue error screen on startup

Hi,

recently when I turned on my other computer, it shows this blue error screen saying:

"UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_MACHINE_"

With technical information Stop 0x000000ED (0x867.....) etc


I try to run in safe mode with command prompt and still dosn't work, ends up at that blue error screen.

Someone please help me out?

P.s. I hope the solution does not involve me having to clean up my harddrive.

Unfortunately re-installing windows may be your only option at this point. Re-partitioning the hard drive and all should solve the problem. That is the only solution I know to this matter unless someone else has had more experience with the blue screen??
