Angry bloody tv out card, please help

I have a radeon 9600 with tv out, its all connected fine, and both the tv and monitor display the windows xp startup screen, but the tv display turns off when it reaches the logon screen. The computer then won't recognise that the TV is there. Its driving me mad, please please help, thankyou

Have you turned the TV 'on' in Display Properties | Settings | Advanced | Displays (and checked its using your countries TV format..PAL/NTSC)? Thats because the 'real' gfx drivers are not loaded until the OS is up and logon, which will then turn off the TV-out (hardware on the gfx card) if the above is not done.

Just noticed your in the UK so ensure your TV-out is set to use PAL.
