Yikes......I'm like the Red Foxx of computer junk! I was at a friend's house last night and picked up a couple of old PC's from the garage...I scavange a huge number of old PC's evry year and part them out. One was a K6 II AMD! The other is totally Amazing example of proprietary PC history....a Compac 5600i built in 1998..........P2 slot 2, A PCI video card with a centronix female port (OMG) and it is 8 megs! (LOL). A DVDRom, the first ever sold in a compac PC. SB 16 etc......but the amazing part of this 30 pound PC is the Quantum Bigfoot HD!!!! OMG! A 5.25" 20 gig HD that sounds like a threshing machine when it loads Win 98SE!!! I have heard about these HD's but never actually seen one before. This is like a museum piece. Totally a hoot and slower than molasis in January!!! I'm just gonna keep it around to show my clients what things used to be like for PC techs.......that Bigfoot must have cost a bundle!!
