Blackness

hello, not sure if this is right spot but i will go ahead and say. when i turn the resolution up in WoW the game goes for a few seconds then it goes black like it is readjusting the reso, then the game screen comes on for like 1/2 a second and goes black again. it keeps doing this untill i change back the reso to a lowerr one. also the fan seems to spin much faster when this is happening. have a 450watt psu and an Ati Radeon x700 pro ty.

Does both your video card and monitor support the resolution/refresh rate you're trying to achieve?

monitors highest adressable reso is 1280x1024 at 60 Hz

What is the refresh/res you're trying to set WoW at?

it is CRT, i was trying to get 1152xwhatever and 1280x1024
it should work with my setup, AMD Athalon 64 bit 3200+, 1gb RAM, and ATi x700 pro, 450 watt psu, soltek mobo

1024x 7**, and um is 47 degrees celius bad for my CPU Die?

Dell e771p is the monitor it is a friends till i buy my own, i spent all my dough on the other stuff

47*C is acceptable... a little high but withing tolerance

Can you increase your desktop's monitor size to 1280x1024?
