Are there any advantages/disadvantages to using an external USB 2.0 case to vs. an IDE to SATA converter, to hook up an old hard drive to new PC? Is one faster? If I use an external USB connection, will the PC see that drive as a "live" drive all of the time just as if it were installed internally?
