Whats the best video card for the a fairly low price?


Raidmax Storm w/420psu
K8N Neo2 Platinum
1gb(2x512mb) Valueselect
AMD 3000+ Winnie
Seagate SATA 80gb raid 0
Sony cd/rw 52x32x52

6600gt

if you can afford it, the eVGA 6800gt AGP is really cheap right now (only 299AR)

if u can scrape up the cash for the 6800 GT at $300, GO FOR IT. it normally costs $400

yea, it's $329, and with the $30 rebate, it's $299 AR

very damn good price

It's only at that price, because at 400$, this made ATI possibly have an edge.

Now ATI is back again without their edge

EDIT: 6600GT or 6800GT, eVGA are best for both except possibly AGP 6600GT

yes, the 6600gt is a great budget card now and can play all games.

6600GT is probably about $175 right now, but honestly, I'd just wait an extra couple weeks or however long it might take you or borrow money if you can and get the 6800GT, that thing will have you set for a while, especially since most of them can easily OC to Ultra specs with no problems on a stock cooler

Sadly, the 6800 gt is still insane in canada. If any of u guys find a good place with a good price, give me a heads up!.. I desperately need a new computer, but won't mind going a little while longer on a PCI card, if needed be........
