best video card for 400 or under

6800GT is the best for that category.....will easily OC beyond Ultra speeds....mine is water cooled and running 430/1150 from stock 350/1000, however it would run 400/1100 (ultra speeds) with the stock cooler.

My RAM can go higher, but I decided to knock it back a little bit from it's absolute limit to keep it alive longer

cause of that fan and double side heatsinks with that pipe heat spreader
does that give like awesome cooling or for show

erll nvidia is the only one of the two that offers SLi so you're gonna have to go with them. if you have to get now i would get an eVGA 6800gt though like someone else said above.

Steve, SLI isnt a necessity by any means. it really only improves performance in benchies. besides, ATi is coming out with Crossfire real soon

eVGA is what I have and IMO are some of the best cards around....I believe leadtek is also another good choice.......plus I think their 6800GT's have a monsterous copper heatsink on them
