it's not really worth getting one unless you really have money to burn and/or you really need a mouse that's accurate

the logitech mx 1000 looks pretty sweet.

no more microsoft mouses for me though

Those are really nice and accurate; I would say they would be helpful in doing things in photoshop, cutting and editing images, things like that.

They sell the BEST gaming mouse's as far as i'm concerned. Ultra sensitive its 2X as sensitive as that Logitech mouse (1600dpi) and over 6400FPS. Takes alot of getting used to though...

No, pretty much all opticals are good. Wireless arent good for gaming.

mmm yah i would take corded over wireless anyday. i don't like to deal with batteries and laggy response. even if its is a rechargable litium ion battery, when it dies u cant use it and u gotta wait for it to recharge.

I have that MX1000 and I am an big gamer, I have not experienced any lag with it and it is much more accurate than any other mouse I have ever used. (I use it along with a fUnc competition mouse pad)

The old wireless mouse technology was not that great for gaming, but things have come a long way.

i got a trust mouse, optical and wireless. got a cradle to charge it and its rubbish. it never charges properly and isnt very responsive. i would love a new one but cant afford good 1 atm :'(
