Default Best looking laptop screen?

I never really considered getting a Sony laptop until I compared the screen in a Circuit City.

DAMN it looked good, blowing the others away BY FAR.

But Sony does have the speed or the upgradability I want, i.e. memory wise....I waited paitently for Sonoma, and I want to be able to take advantage of DDR-2 533MHz RAM!!)

SO I'm looking elsewhere.

Do any other laptops have a high gloss screen that's comparable to Sony?

Sony doesn't sell their display to anybody else do they? I assume they make it themselves, they don't buy it from someone do they? I mean, the same Sony display isn't offered in another laptop is it?

I'd suggest looking at a sharp. They seem to have a wonderful screen, and are highly upgradable. They look really nice too.

In the eyes of Bill Gates, the open source world seems un-activated...

My Gateway M320X with the screen upgrade for like $15-20 is very nice. Gateway has some killer laptop deals if you put a bit of time into researching it. I got $450 off my $1450 laptop back in November.
Yes, but no sprinkles. For every sprinkle i find, i shall KILL you.
