Default Best Hardrive Brand?

Im looking to buy a new harddrive as my 40 gig is filled to the brim. I have around 150 bucks to spend and would like something in the 160 gbs and up range. What would be the best choice?

i know people diss Maxtor a lot, but i've never had a problem with any that i have owned. everyone i have ever know has not had a probelm with their Maxtor HDs either, so i guess its a pretty solid choice.

I'd go with Maxtor too. I only have a 40GB one but I've never had problems with it after I set it up properly as a master drive.

I looked around the internet, most of the problems with Maxtor seem to be WinXP changing them to PIO mode. They used to be pretty poor drives - nearly every week someone complained about them in Amiga magazines, back when 1gig drives were impressive, but they've become a lot better in recent years.
