im my maxtor 120gb hdd i get a total of 114gb. Maxtor seem to be pretty fast but noisy. Next time i buy a hdd i might try seagate or WD

samsung is the little guy that makes great drives, that are good quality and very close to the full size. You cant go wrong. I read the reviews for drives on newegg and samsung seems to do the best with the least number of complaints and crahses.
