Default Best DVD Burner

I am wanting to buy a CD/DVD burner and was wondering what is the best Burner for the buck and what is the best software to use for copying movies. Some say CloneDVD with AnyDVD but then i have heard that Nero with DVDShrink is the way to go.

Thanks in advance for the input,
