Question Benchmarks...

Can someone explain or direct me to a site that has an explaination of PC benchmarks?

A benchmark is a measurement of performance on your computer that will test how well it does something. The results can be compared to other computers or to do a before and after on your own when upgrading, etc.

A large benchmarking website is www.futuremark.com which has the popular 3DMark benchmark programs.
